Magnum is unique, even among the strange beings that live in the city. His species is unknown, as is his background. He seems to be immortal, living longer than even Draconians. While he is hard to kill, he is hardly invincible, and has nearly died many times.
He considers himself a defender, looking after those who can’t protect themselves.
