Ethelinda

Here's another one of my Pathfinder characters who was in another friend's campaign. She's a nagaji which is basically a snake race.

"Ethelinda is a white-scaled nagaji who was adopted by human foster parents. She knows very little of her own kind or her original parents, and she lived a simple childhood working at a form at a local village that eventually trusted her as one of them. One day, a band of raiders invaded her town and murdered some of her friends. Enraged, she and a few other strong men fought off and killed off the invaders. She was a hero that day, but her loss has forever changed her.

The following days, she has vivid dreams of having mysterious powers to heal her friends and fight off those who dare bring harm to the innocent. And eventually, she saw within her dreams a divine being who was bringing her these visions: Nalinivati, the naga goddess. She told the nagaji that her powers can come true in the real world... and all she would have to do is devote herself to Nalinivati.

And so she did, and she brought miracles to her village. She repaired farm equipment with a mere thought, made her trusty walking stick glow at night, and created water out of thin air during a drought. However, she did not know most of the village was highly suspicious of magic. They still believed her presence and her mentions of a naga goddess was slowly beginning to curse their village and wanted her exiled. At first she and her parents were reluctant, but Ethelinda knew she was not going to find out more about her own kind by staying in the village. She knew very little of her new goddess, let alone the nagaji culture, and the answers lied out there. She understood she had to leave behind her home village if she wanted to find. So and a final farewell to her foster parents, she embarked on the first journey of her life."
