I'm doing a history of the gryphons/griffons/griffins' forms and how they've come to be the diverse creatures we see today in artwork.

Finally, a complete blend has been reached. The newest griffin has lion ears with feather tips, the tail feathers on the rump and tail, eagle-lion eyes, and teeth- something not in its parents. With these developments, the griffin almost exists.
