A satirical comic about a particular famous animator who shall remain nameless. (you might need to press download to read)
I think JK (yes, that should be subtle enough) can have a good point on some things (though other times he can be kinda full of it) but he seems unquestionably bitter and kinda arrogant kinda over stating his own importance in animation history (which I won't deny he made a contribution). I can't say that I've met the man personally but I've heard he can be pretty unapproachable to many......well those who don't suck up to him vigorously. I don't see him liking me much because I kinda belong to the school of thinking that people should be respected but no one should ever be idolized......at the end of the day they are just people as flawed as us, no matter how much they've achieved. JK I feel is too full of his own self importance to be someone I can fully respect.
Why the subtleness, though? Anyone who's bound to even care about this issue can tell who he is in the drawing. It's a good caricature of him, and besides he's wearing that suit! And well, once you mention his initials... XD I'm just wondering why, are you afraid of people trolling you because you're voicing your opinion about him? Don't be.
Hehehehe, this is great. I do have to agree that while I look up to him as an artist and animator, and his warped sense of humor is usually pretty up my alley (atleast in Ren & Stimpy and the Ripping Friends), I can't totally respect him for certain reasons of my own.
That aside, I find it fun how his anger directly fits the costume he is wearing here, and how the fox guys fursuit is shifting its expression as much as the wearer.

Wow. Did you get to meet him in person? He was my idol from the time I was about 13 to my mid-20's, I tried getting his attention a couple of times... His work basically changed the direction my life was going in when I was young, so I said that to him in a blog comment, in an email, and in a letter when I found what I thought to be his address (I also included an original drawing in the letter as a gift.) He ignored me every time! Lol. After following his blog for years, I can appreciate his knowledge and taste, but no longer can agree with him on everything as I used to. He seems to hate all animation that isn't cartoony, even really good stuff such as classic early Disney films. I can see his point, but he seems to be too bitter over stuff to have a fair view of all types of animation... I dunno. O_O
