I am so happy right now.

For a long time I've been trying to figure the best way to paint things. This one I was inspired to draw Friday night to paint. First I started with a strong sketch. Then I picked the colors, first testing them on the canvas just to make sure the colors worked in harmony. Then I started with background (kept it on it's own layer) and worked my way forward. Focusing on shadow colors first then the lighter ones.

The result speaks for itself. A thick painting with solid shapes. It was just so relaxing and natural once I had a general idea what to do. I loved the sketch so much I kept it in there.

I'm keeping this style and can't wait to refine it
