Possible new OC? I'm really proud how this one came out. This feels like a true milestone of everything I've learned over this summer.

Most of my drawings start as a sketch. Feeling like drawing something cute with a running dragon. And as usual I liked the first sketch so much I wanted to color it in. Flat colors looked great! I really love the little bumps of the scales giving it more depth. I was gonna call it finished but something told me to keep going.

I always seem to overdo the shadows/highlights so I tried limiting them instead. A little hard to get used to since I feel like it needs to be darker/lighter. Through this exercise I found that I love the subtle shifts of colors I got. Even figured out how to add some transparency to the fins!
