The problem with painting over sketch lines is I lose some details from the planning stage. It's hard to describe but I figure this time it was okay to keep them in. The result speaks for itself. There is a bunch of other things I did differently too such as starting with a gesture drawing, more focus on proportions and trying to vary my brushes used.
