"Swiftwings are small, agile creatures of the Twinfeather family. Though not known for their intellect, they are nimble and can find their way across all territories. This makes them aptly suited for being the primary communcation lines of the Wildlands; carrying small parcels, letters and invitations over woods and water that would otherwise take weeks to deliver by foot. They provide an essential service to all the territories. Different breeds exist for different purposes, but the draft glider breed is the most common because of its speed and good endurance.

They are generally allowed to travel unharmed in the skies, but pilfered couriers are not unheard of, particularly among rival territories. If a Swiftwing is suspected to carry crucial cargo, one can never be sure that it will reach its goal.

Though cargo is usually carried in bags strapped to the body, it is wise to check the pouch they have on their stomach for potential hidden bundles. It is advised to wrap these bundles in some sort of protective cloth, though, as Swiftwing pouches are quite sticky. Both males and females possess a pouch."
