Assignment. The purpose was to paint/draw a forest that showed depth. I used some of my favorite colours.

Thankye. The best way to get good at backgrounds is to... well. FIGHT THEM. Even if it is painful.

But i dunno how to fight them. I simply lose.

Beat them with a frying pan if you must. It really becomes much easier the more you draw them (but with painting at least it's important to have a brush that blends well, otherwise it will be hard to make stuff look good).

To me it feels like i'm getting worse with them the more i make them |D (I thought that too, just wish i would be good with blending!)

It makes me cry when i look at the backgrounds i make and then at this, because this work is damn perfect! |D
The colors, and the detail on the trees, the grass and, and, and, i don't get this. Time for me to go to art school!
