They sat there and stared at each other. One of skin, and one of fur. Their minds intertwined and filled with curiosity as it was their first time to meet the other’s kind. Her mind, that of a human and the name of Laura; and her bodily form were apt to live in the human world, dominating all other species through advanced intellect and self-crafted tools and weaponry; all being ultimately complimentary to the figure that sat before her.

Her fur, that of a coyote and the name of Katherine; and her most superior muscles were custom-fitted to make her not only dynamic in flight, but also fight, proven most effective in conflict; her claws grew sharper with every time she used them, every strain making her muscles tougher; all developing a robust but identical machine to that of Laura’s tools and quick wits.

With such talents, power and ability to decimate the other, they would surely never be nothing more than mere rivals… However, they just sat there… not making a single budge or move, curious to only one thing… want to go play?.. and… want to be friends?e
