The Yearning Seer

“Seers are usually discovered at a young age, after which their sight is destroyed to help them focus on what their mind’s eye sees, not reality. After that point they are left quite helpless and have become pawns to the thralls and their campaigns, fought over by tribes in their struggle for power. Being little more than property, seers often face abuse and violence either in the hands of their owners or their enemies.”

Maybe something for something. Dunno yet, but that’s a rough idea on “seers”.

Started and completed most of this on stream today. It's not as neat and complete as I would like, but there are some aspects of it that I like, so here it is.

You can reblog it on Tumblr: http://tas-draws.tumblr.com/post/129450891434/messy-thing-i-worked-on-stream-today-seers-are

    This is absolutely riveting. 83
I love the gritty textures and extreme attention to crucial details, especially in the stitched neck-suture and malnourished skinny chest.
    Simply AMAZING! <3
Also the concept of a seer in and of itself is intriguing... probably what helps really shape such a emotionally-charged response to the unknowing viewer. Nordic culture is trippy as hell. ;P
Yup... I love this work of art. :)
