On Tuesday, the 17th of May, 2016, I officially went through my art department graduation ceremony from the University of California Berkeley.

Completing this degree means so much to me. It’s 9 years of effort - 4 years of high school while dealing the onset of my disability related to nerve entrapment in my arms, and then 5 years of studying at university on a reduced course load. Which, you can guess, was disability related - but this time it was a depressive episode, and led to my diagnosis of clinical depression. I went through some of my the most emotionally taxing obstacles in my personal life during my college years, and I thought about dropping out often. It sometimes felt impossible that someone like me COULD finish! But with encouragement from friends, family, colleagues, you have all helped me get here today.
