I spent a few hours sketching different beetles (focusing a lot on the heads) to give myself an idea of how to fix some of the problems with Rosie.
Then I decided this beast should be the unholy love child of a centipede, a mantis, and a rhinoceros beetle.

Probably should change the antennae, since from what I know, centipede antennae are better suited to picking up vibrations on the ground rather than the air.

The poor creature doesn't have that big of a brain... that large head actually houses mostly big muscles for the maxilipedes- the larger jaws used to hold prey and inject venom.
Molting is a horribly stressful process of these beasts, and they become the most aggressive before a molt. Large animals are often killed just for being within range of the creature's senses.
