--Sorry for my bad English!--

There are many types of the “Dovregubber”, and this is the most common (sometimes called Cave-trolls). And the colors range from reddish brown to sandy colored. Those who live in caves have thick fur. And it is strange that this is one of the few species of trolls that have very little hair while others are covered with so much fur and they still are able to live through Norway’s cold winter months.

The males are about 2 m tall and the females are slightly smaller. They can live in a pack, about ten individuals, but it is very rare they are that many. They live in caves, mostly near a forest. They often use old the mines. If you find lots of tools that were used in the mines outside the cave, you can be sure that here live the magic in the mine.
