Prompt word: Autobiography in 365 words

Like a loose star cluster, the sight hounds from the remote outpost situated by the great Tempest river gathered upon a knoll coated with feather grass and kite bushes. Tall eared and slim built, they sat upon blankets. An impromptu picnic to enjoy Mid-summer's eve.

Stained by the palette of banded evening sky, their sun settled into the western horizon. Southwards lay a solitary, distant cumulonimbus floating above the Pampas prairie. Boiling in slow motion with anvil spreading outwards. Flanking the cloud like a predatory sheepdog stalking in the sky was a large, fat crescent of gray white streaks, trailing the sun.

Wolf white Kurjak, the true gravitational ruler of their orbit. For their world, Kopno, was a satellite. Two of her sister worlds, two tiny globes, trailed in front and behind the gas giant's banded white cloud deck.

"Uncle Duenner, what brought you here?" Came a question from Tilly to her brown and white furred uncle sitting upon a light green tarp. A sprig of feather grass jutting out of his muzzle.

Duenner gazed up at his niece, 12 seasons, the same age when he emigrated here long ago. He pondered. How to respond to her question. An entire autobiography?

From wishes as a pup to dart past the closed doors of the airlocks onto the red stained world of Mars in the Terran system. To walk unaided without a suit, which was not possible. Centuries of failure from terraforming Mars, leaving the impoverished terra-dome inhabitants in slave labor for their Oligarch overlords. Confined beneath the great Dome shutting out the thick, but hostile Martian air and corrosive sands.

Should he say how opportunity knocked? And he managed to crew aboard the first Interstellar ship to leave the Terran system in centuries? To arrived at one of the few bio-compatible 'Blue Terran' worlds; an exomoon orbiting a Gas giant circling her G type sun in a year long trot?

He removed the grass stem from toothy lips.

"That's a long answer," He replied.

"Then, what do you like most about here?" Came the next question.

Gazing skywards, he replanted the stem in mouth and smiled.

"Having the air and starry heavens as a roof."
