With great power comes great... clumsyness. At least for this little slimy fellow, a Schneggse. (A variation of two German words: Schnecke = Snail, Echse = lizard. Basically "Snailzard".)

This picture went through many stages and considerations. Despite the obvious unnatural design, I wanted the Schneggse to look friendly and peaceful, not like an alien species that's trying to rob the snails of food. I worked a lot on the facial expression and also decided against making the little snail looking scared or shocked. And although you can colour a fantasy creature any way you want, I changed its skin from violet to this greenish olive tone. With that I wanted to connect it to the small snail and express that this creature is more or less part of that environment.
