Okay so I did a happy one of Martina and now I wanted to do a sad one because I am a jerk like that.

Martina's mom died giving birth to her, so I wanted to do an emotional piece on that. I don't know the whole story so I'm just going to put what I think could've happened. Hope you like it.

Martina let's out a heavy sigh as she stares at the open violin case in her hands. Thoughts of what could have been and what will never be going through her mind.
She carefully picks up the violin with one hand and the bow with the other. The lump in her throat forming and her eyes already getting hot with the oncoming tears, she places the the instrument under her cheek and raises her bow to play the song she had heard so many times before and yet and never got to listen to. Thoughts of her mother drift through her mind as she begins to play.

It was 17 years ago on April 23rd that a young mother was getting ready to give birth to her baby girl. Nurses run back and forth bringing towels and tools for when the baby came, all while the head nurse encourages the young mother to push through the pains.
"She's almost here momma! You can do it!" The nurse looks towards the doctor for confirmation that everything was okay, but there was fear on the doctor's face.
Something was very wrong.
That was when the nurse notices that the hand she was holding was getting cold.
Machines start to beep as the doctor yells.
"She's hemorrhaging! Mam stay with me! Come on you're almost done!"
Her eye sight going blurry the young mother was getting weaker and it was getting harder for her to stay conscious. It was at that moment she realized that she knew she wouldn't survive, she knew she wouldn't live to see her baby girl grow up. Summoning the last bit of strength she had left, she pushed with all her might. Until she faintly heard the doctor say, "she's out!"
The world seem to stand still as she saw her little girl in a nurse's hands, wrapped in a towel crying. A weak and tired smile forms on her lips as she reaches out to the nurse holding her baby. With a pained expression the doctor nods in approval. The nurse gently lays the baby in her mother's arms. The baby stops crying and whimpers. Tears of joy and sadness fall from the mother's eyes, as she whispers.
"I'm sorry Martina, but I'm afraid momma isn't going to be able to be around much longer baby."
Cradling Martina closer, she nuzzles her under her neck placing her where she could hear her now faint heartbeats. Laying her head back on the pillow the yound mother closes her eyes and begins to whisper a lullaby. She continued to sing until her baby began to fall asleep.
"I love you, my little Martina."
The machines stop beeping after the mother whispers her final goodbye.

Tears stream down Martina's face as she plays her mother's lullaby. Mixed emotions crossing her face. Guilt, sadness, loss, pain. Knowing she was the cause of her mother's death, wishing she was there, knowing her mother loved her enough to give up her life so that she could live, but what hurts the most is knowing she will never get the chance to tell her,
"I love you too, mom."
