Weapon: Johnson M1941 Light Machine Gun
Country of Origin: United States
Country Represented: Malaysia
One of the lesser-known light machine guns of World War II, the Johnson M1941 utilized a side-mounted magazine and, thanks to its inline recoil system, featured a more manageable recoil. Combined with its lightweight, the Johnson proved suited to certain purposes with the US military such as the 1st Special Service Force, also known as the Devil's Brigade. After World War II, Johnson machine guns ended up in service with other nations with at least one sample ending up with the Royal Malaysian Police and current on display in their museum.
