Travelling Light (Suit Inflation) by Signus

The sight which greeted them was all too familiar, so alike to many places they had been forced to accept as residence. The cramped room beyond the corroding iron hatch was not exactly first class. It could barely even be called a passenger room. The spartan interior had been stripped clean, leaving the splintered oak floorboards and exposed metal skeleton of the vessel laid bare. Moulting cobwebs lurked in the corners and among a few long abandoned crates, the only sign that anything had ever occupied it in past weeks. Jutting out from the corroded mass of the exterior wall, a sole grubby porthole showed the skies beyond. A rolling bank of clouds illuminated by the moon’s light, which served as the only illumination save for a dimly lit oil lamp suspended overhead.

With a slight shrug of indignation, accepting where they would be stuck for the next few days, the first of the two stepped through. Easily a head shorter than her companion, the grey furred feline looked about, the azure rubber of her helmetless environmental suit squeaking with the movement. “Well, at least it’s soundproofed this time” she said, knocking against one wall “Remember when we were stuck above those tesla engines? By the time we hit ground we didn’t have an hour of sleep between us. Or a patch of fur which wasn’t standing on end.”

“We’re on a budget so don’t complain” the massive form of a husky stepped through, her ears scraping against the ceiling as she walked inside. The more visibly official of the two, her oil stained Guild uniform hung with the usual assortment of tools and items engineers used to distinguish themselves from inventors. “Besides Cass, you were the one who insisted we head back before first light.”

“It’s hardly my fault the Guild recalled us without notice!” the feline retorted, letting her backpack fall to the ground with a heavy thud “One minute we get sent out to perform a few experiments, the next we’re told to immediately return!”

As with many an assignment, the duo had been given the go-ahead to test a few of Cass’ new inventions and sent as far away from Eisenheim as possible just in case of explosions. Yet within a day of arriving at the small town with the facilities they needed, the Guild of Mechateers had immediately recalled them. Racing back to port they had been lucky to find a vessel heading back that very night, but not so lucky to find anything besides a rickety old cargo cutter.

Still, that was life as part of the Guild. You smiled, nodded, accepted orders and cut every corner you had to in order to carry them out. With an irritated flick of her tail, Cass dropped down onto one of the empty crates, giving the steadily juddering floorboards a glare. “You’d think for all the sound proofing it would at stop the deck shaking for once,” she said shifting her weight from one foot to the next “say goodbye to sleeping anytime tonight.”
Halfway through unpacking a bedroll from her own luggage, Sofia gave an amused snort “I’m surprised you can feel anything through that suit. Why are you still wearing it anyway?”

“It’s still stiff,” Cass replied, making an odd rotating movement with one arm, testing the joint “I want to see if there’s anywhere the gel makes specifically hard to move.” Having a somewhat similar outward appearance to the inventor’s diving gear, the environmental suit was something a little different. Snugly clinging to her body, the five inches of expandable anti-ballistics, radiation shielding and puncture resistant gels were intended to provide protection when exploring some of the more hazardous technological ruins. At least that was the theory, all they had found out prior to being forced to leave was it was difficult to get into and loudly squeaked with every moment. Well, that and made the diminutive inventor look quite a few pounds heavier than usual.

Sofia shrugged at Cass’ explanation, then looked back at her bedroll and her features broke into a smirk. “I wonder…” she said, straighten up and gently stroking her chin with one paw “I think I might be able to help in testing. Stand up and stretch out your arms would you?”

Cass frowned, but slowly did as she asked, standing up from the crate and looking down at herself. Everything seemed normal at least. The connection ports were still sealed, the handful of arrows and dials crisscrossing her form were all in the green, even for once her tail felt as if it wasn’t stuck in a slowly tightening noose. Still, Sophia did have a knack for finding problems before the inventor even realised them. Giving a brief twirl at the end of her stretches, she shrugged “I can’t find anything wrong if that’s what you’re looking for. Have you seen a problem with the design?”

“Something like that” Sofia answered, crossing the small room and examining the material, pinching and rubbing a paw over the bodysuit. “Feels nice. Do you have a spanner in your pack?”

“Yeah,” Cass answered, wondering just where this was going before turning to find one “It should be in-“ Before she could finish, Sofia’s strong arms hooked under Cass’ armpits, lifting the diminutive feline into the air with a surprised yelp. Flailing and kicking, she twisted, trying to yank herself out of the engineer’s iron grip but to little avail. Easily the stronger of the two, Sofia barely showed signs of strain under the inventor’s efforts, instead squeezing the rubbery surface in her grip.

“I think I’ve finally found a practical use for one of your daft ideas” she said, before reaching around to the series of controls listed across Cass’ padded chest. With a brief pause to check their settings, she twisted a trio of dials to their maximum output before tensing herself.

Still flailing, Cass peered down as she felt pressure mounting across her chest and abdomen. It wasn’t hard to tell why, almost the second Sofia’s paws had finished with the last dial, her clothing begun to rapidly swell. Expanding outwards as it engulfed her body and stiffly pinning her body in place. Reacting to Sofia’s adjustments, the gel was expanding outwards by centimetres per second. Her entry body was rapidly becoming a sea of rippling dark blue as it began to swallow the luckless Cass whole.

To anyone watching, by this point Cass’ amply gelatinous chest had swollen to several times her head, rapidly becoming the only visible feature on her body. With nothing to truly restrain it, her torso was stretching out into a massive semi-spherical form, swallowing up her limbs in its continual expansion. The feline’s flailing had already diminished to a few feeble attempts at movement. Trapped within the rubber of her prison, groaning with its staggering weight, her every muscle was pinned in place, rippling with every movement and squeezing down on all the right places.

With a satisfied grin confirming she had achieved her desire, Sofia released the swollen Cass, letting her slam into the floor. Bouncing with the impact, the luckless feline rolled for a few moments before coming to a halt, wedging itself against the crate. Now firmly connected with the floorboards, the suit’s entire surface began to ripple and move in time with the deck’s vibrations. What little resistance their might have been was soon overcome as her body was caressed by the gentle vibrations. Despite herself, Cass released a quiet moan of enjoyment at the sensation; her cheeks flushing red as pleasure rapidly overcame all resistance.

“Enjoying that?” Sofia asked, raising an eyebrow at the feline’s swollen form before reaching down, pressing her palm against the feline’s chest. Another moan answered her. As she brought her paw away, the indentation remained for a few seconds before the gel squashed itself back into shape. Beyond a streak of pinkish hair where her head was struggling to stay above the sea of rubber, there was little left of the inventor’s original shape. In its place was what appeared to be massive balloon, spherical save for a pair of massive orbs somewhere close to the feline’s head.

“Is this in revenge for the h-helium incident?” Cass managed from somewhere within the blue sphere, her body rocking slightly as she tried to roll against the deck and upright herself.

“Nothing of the sort,” Sophia responded, almost casually pinning the feline down with one muscular hand before stroking her swollen belly “if we’re going to be stuck here all night, I’d rather have a decent bed.” With no more explanations apparently needed the husky lowered herself down, pressing against Cass’ suited body. The rubber squeaked, protesting at her movements as she twisted into a comfortable position before resting her head against Cass’ massive breasts “And don’t get any ideas, I’m just doing this because you’re a better choice than the floor.”

“O-of course it is” Cass answered between repressed gasps of pleasure, feeling the husky through the thick material. Every minute twitch of Sofia’s body was being transmitted through the gel, reverberating across her body and pleasantly stroking each individual hair of her form. “If you feel c-cold though,” she giggled between gasps “I think there’s enough space for two in here…” A gentle squeeze across her chest cut off Cass’ suggestion. As Sofia’s snores began to fill the room, the feline settled down within her inflated attire for the long night. It looked like it was going to be a fun journey after all.

Yep, more inflation. Trying a few different things here this time though just to add a little variety to stories on this account.
