I like the colors and the flowers a lot. But you should decide from which direction the light is coming. The hair/skin contrast is a way to strong, resulting in the loss of vocal point for the eyes. If you want to make portraits more interesting then keep in mind that light is almost never pure white. Experiment a bit with warm colored light.
