Okay, I'll admit. I have a problem. I love making lines in Manga Studio.
Anyway, I've also decided to head in a kind of different direction with my comic (which is why I haven't really been posting it up as a webcomic currently). I've been doing some thinking, and I'm going to try and reach a little further. I'm gonna reformat it and try to see if I can get it published (hopefully as a series) through a publisher.
I'll still probably upload some pages, concept art, etc. on here from time to time though.
And just because I like to garner as much advise from various sources, as I can... if anyone has any advice on how to approach publishers, which publishers to approach, networking and all that good stuff, I'd be willing to hear it.
Thanks. :D
The trick with doing these black background drawings is knowing where your light source is and how it works, or at least that's how I look at it.
On a related note, this particular webcomic- http://diggercomic.com/, has a lot of good examples of building an image out of black background.
Here are some samples I was able to pull out quickly-

Daaaamn, that is nice! So very eerie. I've been very interested in the idea of building an image out of a black background like that....and this blows me away. I still have a lot to learn.
