AND HERE IT FINALLY IS.

this is really just a bunch of bad timing.

this is Hunter's very first transformation, and it's Iris' fault... plus puberty. lol
Puberty is when all volatikai with a were form first transform. Large amounts of testosterone flow through their bodies which helps "awaken" that form. usually it needs a trigger for them to transform, but sometimes it will just happen on its own.

Hunter's trigger here was anger. Things throughout the day may have been upsetting or angering him, and something Iris says to him will be the breaking point.
At first, Iris will be rather excited that he's transforming, because she was told Hunter has one like Pierce.
But, that made her think that he'd be LIKE Pierce's were form.
nonononononono not at all.
She'd quickly learn that this was bad, since right after he transforms, he starts attacking.
In the mean time, Rose isn't even around. She's back at their "home".
Iris will most likely get hurt in some way, but it will be minor. Pierce notices what happens and then tries to protect Iris, and knows this is Hunter, too, so he doesn't wanna harm him... which is ultimately his downfall.
Iris will distract him slightly, since she's RIGHT THERE... and that's when Hunter has his opening to chomp on Pierce's neck, which kills him almost instantly.

HOWEVEEEEER, Pierce's were form isn't dead.
Right after Hunter kills Pierce's normal form, he almost goes after Iris again, but Jack, this guy: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/14364428/ shows up and fires off a gun in the air, which spooks Hunter into running away. so they most likely will be close by where Jack lives and he could hear what was going on.
After Hunter runs away, Pierce's body begins to react to the bite, and he transforms for the last time. This time is very unique, too. All old skin and fur falls off, including all scars and even the ring falls off. He now has a "new" body.
The only brain that is working now is the were brain, so many memories are gone as well.
He now can feel pain, too, so that will be completely new to him.
He won't have tooo long to live for, the. the dead brain would begin to rot, and that can poison his body. plus, he's old. very old for a volatikai. he'll have a few extra months to live as this form and most likely will die completely from organ failure.
When in his were form, he won't want to be around anyone, and it will make it more heart wrenching for Iris and Rose, knowing that Pierce is pretty much gone, and his were form can't change back.

Iris may try to go after Hunter because of this.
Poor Hunter just thinks it's a bad nightmare, yet will wake up rather far away from his home. He'll have killed many other creatures and people as well, which will haunt him.

all of the details in-between will hopefully be shown when i can make a comic of all of this, which will still take a long while.
