Frostbite

Winter is my favourite seasons of all and i am greatly inspired by it's silent, cold beauty.

One day when it was really cold I thought that the way the freezing weather bites you has something similar with a wildcat's bite. But wildcat isn't enough as the cold is more powerful than a nib of sharp fangs yet lacks the sheer force of a lion.

I found lynx a perfect example. Silent, smooth yet strong and beautiful. I feel like lynx is overshadowed by other big cats and I can't see why since I find lynxes really fascinating creatures.

This is an ink painting. For some reason I prefer inks over watercolours which is one of my favourite media.

This is a really beautiful piece - the way each hair is rendered and the attention to detail show a great deal of craftsmanship and love for your art. Doing something like this with ink especially, which can be a frustrating medium at times, is especially impressive. Excellent work! :)

Thank you very much! :> Ink sure can be tricky, but I kinda like its quirks. It does get frustrating sometimes, you're right about that.

I think it shows a certain amount of skill to be able to work with it as a medium. You have a lot of talent! I really enjoy this piece, and would even if I hadn't noticed that you used ink. It's just a good work. Have a great day! :)
