Short story: Missing? Page 1

Sherico Fifth

First time actually writing in a good while so don't mind my shart grammar and misspelling. Enjoy.
Both writing and art is done by me Caleb Cloud.

It is early in the morning and the stores or anywhere of interest are just opening, there is a few sleepy gazes from the settlers as she makes her way to the first location to acquire info relating to her problem. The small settlement is nothing special the buildings both commercial and residential look identical; the buildings are just big blue squares that look like they've been hand crafted by company skulpers out of the terrain around it but it serves it purpose, the inside has up to date furnishing and technology some built into the walls itself.
The falling snow seems to muffle out distant sounds but there isn't too much of it at the moment strangely enough; despite it being winter the cold isn't too bad plus the added bonus of being covered in fur is keeps one decently warm this morning. The sun not fully being up and about makes looking around less of a pain.
She enters the building and is immediately greeted by the only clerk there. "Welcome! Not bad weather this morning, how can I help you?" a bit surprised by how friendly the store clerk is she replies, "H-hey, I was wondering if you can give me some info on anyone that may have passed through here in the past week?" sherico pulls out a small glass and metallic pad and shows her the name of the person missing it reads name: {{REDACTED}} age: {{REDACTED}} sex: {{REDACTED}} with a image of this person.

The clerk brings up a screen and scims through what looks to be a list, a bit confused sherico asks why she keeps a list people that come through here. She explains that this is a pretty common place for people to be passing through in need of supplies and or info about the terrain or wild life as the next settlement is some what far from here, plus just in case someone goes missing. Convenient; she interrupts herself to tell her there has been someone that fits your description but with a different name and was heading towards the border which is at the other side of the mountain. A bit of a risky path but direct if anything, she warns her to be cautious as E-feral wolves have been spotted on some parts of the roads. Sherico thanks her for the info she has provided willingly and departs...
