2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra-R

the 1994 thru 2004 Mustang were the last of the fox body Mustangs to be built and the most potent performers of that generation are SVT Cobra-R's.

built by Ford's SVT division (Special Vehicles Team) the Cobra-R could go, turn and stop very quickly it was equipped a 5.4 Liter (330 Cubic Inch) V8 motor that made 385 horsepower it could 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds and do the quarter mile in 13.2 seconds at 110 MPH.

There are no options that came with the Cobra-R what was in it already was what you got and it was only for show and racing only for street use would damge it.

Under the hood with the louvered hood scoop the 5.4 Liter V8 had a 9.6:1 compression, and a port fuel injection system.

The engine was fitted with a number of hardware items from the Ford parts bin, such as a special cylindrical K&N air filter, a larger single-bore throttle body, hi-po heads from Ford's off road truck racing program, higher-lift camshafts, flat-top aluminum pistons, Carrillo billet steel connecting rods and tubular steel exhaust manifolds connected to Borla mufflers with a beautiful rumble.

The redline was 6,500 RPM's and the top speed was 175 MPH.

The suspension had Bilstein gas shocks up front, twin-tube gas shocks in the rear, H.D. Eibach springs and fat anti-roll bars at each end.

The 9.5-18 5-spoke alloy rims carried 265/40ZR-18 B.F. Goodrich G-Force KD radials.
And you no longer had to have SCCA or NHRA credentials or a compensation license to buy a Cobra-R.
