This is page one of a sort of mock mini-comic I'm making for a presentation in technical journalism. Yes, technical journalism. Don't ask.
Supercat will be helping me illustrate common comic layouts, how to control flow, direct the readers eyes, and give pages identity. The mini-comic is the result of about 30 seconds worth of story writing with the overall plot of Supercat detecting a damsel in distress stuck in a tall tree in the backyard (thanks to his SUPERFELINE™ hearing), trying to rescue her, and getting stuck in the tree himself. Mostly, though, it just makes fun of Marvel comics and various superheros.
I hope I never have to draw something like this again.
