Hawking has been a wild horse his entire life, and knows there are two places no creature should go- toward the human cities, for obvious reasons, and toward the dark forest that rests on the other side of the land's chasm. Here, he has run into the younger mare, Leavitt, who has fled from that direction. She hasn't a clue about what lays in those lands, just that she and her son were "chased" away from their human companions.
Hawking, knowing the lay of the lands, asks where she is from, in an attempt to point her in the right direction and send her home.
But when she answers that she came from the other side of the forest, Hawking knows he can't help- more, he won't.

I have plans to redo this as a comic page eventually...~ Hawking and Gali [siblings] would get along great with Leavitt and her son, Vari.
