Apparently today is Draw a Centaur Day. While I'm too busy working on commissions to participate, I thought I'd cheat and upload a sneak peek at the character I've been working on for the last few weeks during my spare time.

Not actually a centaur, most of what you see is a biological construct made with what's basically mucus, saliva, and a mineral component that her body produces. Her kind took to building these constructs so as to get about on land, originally a water dwelling species. She's basically a large brain with eyes and teeth, a long sinuous body and tail, and 22 tentacles of varying functions. She lacks bones of any kind, and is both fascinated and confused with the crew mates that have endoskeletons.

Oh yeah, she's also a pirate. In space. She's the Quartermaster of the ship, which means if the Captain is unable to be in charge, she takes over. She's also in charge of the booty... I mean the treasure. She keeps track of it and spreads the spoils equally among the crew. She also has the power to punish small crimes so long as the rest of the crew deems it fair.

I have no name, no species name, and no freaking idea what to do for her markings. I must have tried about a billion things already and she's just not cooperating :|

Suggestions are more than welcome at this point.
