Hiro is a yakuza member on loan to Los Desvalidos; he's the main reason they run more like a business instead of a typical gang. Old and old fashioned, he's still a great asset to the gang and trusted enough to be Derrek's right hand man. He knows all about found family and second chances. Not shown: his full body tattoos from being part of the yakuza for the vast majority of his life.
