I figured I should share more concept art as I continue to make progress on the series. Conrad here is another sort of semi-old character from a slightly older draft for the series, being the adoptive father of Rain. He used to be a purebred Nammani wolf before it was decided to make him a modern jinmenken-wolf hybrid since it makes more sense story wise. Wolves and hounds may have a past of mutual hostility but their treatment of one another in the modern era is nowhere near as bad as the conflict between jinmenkens and wolves who are fairly segregated to the point where crossbreeding is heavily discouraged and even punished in one way or another. Conrad is an outcast, banished from his pack decades ago for being part jinmenken and enduring abuse from both sides for simply existing. He is a husky mix like Lightning, albeit a different variant of husky-type breed with Lightning being a Nammani husky and Conrad being a Violetbell husky, a sphinx-type recreation with modern jinmenkens as the basis.
