What feels like many years ago when I was but a young and immature little artist, I was in awe and wonder at this one artist and looked up to everything she drew and aspired to be just like her. She was also the first time I ever laid my eyes upon anthro artwork! She inspired my art heavily and still it remains to this day apparent in my artwork - my love for drawing accessories and clothing and hair was definitely sparked by her work (and turned into the mess of mine you see today!). There was even a time, I hate to admit, I used to heavily reference her work to the point that it was obvious LOL That's my little OOPS I WAS AN IMMATURE NAIVE PRETEEN ON THE INTERNET confession. I just wanted to be just like her and it just made me practice more and more. I used to print out her art and put it on my binders to keep me hopeful that one day I could draw like that. Her characters were the cutest and full of such character and personality and I swear THE BEST CLOTHES EVER. I was never brave enough to draw her any art, though, because I didn't feel like I was good enough and would just embarrass myself LOL. So maybe (about 11 years later) I am! Even with just a simple little picture. And especially now that I have discovered her being active again, and am currently spazzing in my britches because I just commissioned her (and I NEVER commission people!) and I can't wait to see what she does!

It sounds like a bunch of ass kissing, but I really mean it. She was THE artist to me. Her art, especially her old art, brings me such nostalgia! Now getting rid of the past tense because of my talking about her influence in my past: her art is still just as cute and wonderful as it always has been! So, thank you ~starinthegutter for being you!
