This is the first half of my half of a trade with   the-red-fox-baron.

He requested a pair of scale flowers, one for autumn, and one for Christmas time. This is the first one, and it turned out beautifully. I might just have to make one for me.

No, the innermost row of scales is not messed up--they're loose, and they move about a bit. It's just the nature of the weave. ^_^ You can poke them about as you like to make the flower look more orderly, or to make it look wild.

This one has the candle cup glued into it, so unless abused, it won't go falling out willy nilly. The plastic piece is very hard to put into these if you're doing it for the first time, and even harder to explain to someone how to get it in. :S Thus, I glue the bastards in there. XD

The candle in this one is a creamy coloured, vanilla-scented one.

Anyhoo, I got another of these to make for him! I hope it turns out just as pretty!
