This piece was sort of an experiment. A friend had asked me if I could do her an ear cuff with a spider on it, and I told her I'd try, but had no idea if it would work or not. This was the result I got about the 7th time I tried it.

Basically, the spider is a small glass bead with an extremely thin wire (I think 30 gauge, or even smaller) running back and forth that functions as the legs. Now, being made of such thin wire, the legs tend to get bumped around a lot, but are very easy to repose.

This earcuff, while functional alone, was used in tandem with a stud to give it a bit more stability.

Definitely an interesting experiment!
