I REALLY wanted to draw out his outfit, so I figured I'd do the whole ref while I'm at it, but I SUCK at making runes, so just pretend they're there~ ; v; ((his cloak has runes between the rows of gold on the edges of the cloth, and on the sash))((ALSO there are two identical, but longer, sashes in the back))
I've decided to make commissions of these available for others's Dreamies/Preamies so far, though I may make similar bases for Fanears and Prowls, maybe even StarEaters!
Prices will be $20 for the main two (front and winter coat OR front and back), $50 for four (the top four OR mix and match two for two different Dreamies), and I will only be taking bribes to include clothing ref like seen here! ((Clothing is hard, so yeah, probably won't be doing the bottom two often))

Did you have a particular methodology for winter coats?

I usually just go with cooler, lighter, and less saturated colours. Though all I can use to colour shift is the Pixlr Express and Image Editor apps on my phone, so I find what fits that best by messing with the HSL settings, aka changing around the hue, saturation, and lightness. I hope that helps! >ω<
