Nerin grew up very sheltered. he never really played outside, and never played with the other kids. he's always been very physically weak so his family kept him safe and didn't let anything happen to him. he's ever been in a situation where he was truly frightened or hurt. He has healed injured people though, and he knows first aid for nearly every situation, even if he's never had to actually use it.

He never thought the first time he'd have to use it would be on himself. he never thought he'd find himself in some dark hole in the ground, hurting and scared, and having to wait to be rescued.

In the sketch, the initial numbness of his broken leg has worn off, and he's now really starting to feel it, especially after wrapping it up to keep it as still as he can. he knows he should probably wrap up his head as well but his head doesn't hurt nearly as much as his leg.
