There it is - the promo image of "The Dynamite Twins and Friends" (yes, I extended the title of the strips. I'm going to extend the brand to different facets; graphic novel titles, feature comics, etc. I'm also trademarking them soon). Consider this a late pic in celebration of the fifth anniversary.

The Dynamite Twins are about two twin foxes who were subjects of an experiment by a devious billionaire scientist (see "Brotherhood Legacy"). These guys had a wild ride, eventually saving the free world from ceasing to exist. They eventually settled in Critterton where they set up their own base, and they met a lot of colourful neighbors in the process, setting the stage for the strips. The series as a whole is adult-oriented, and has very adult situations that reflect real life, which make good social commentary.

Oh, and I forgot to tell you about the setting. The series takes place in the city of Critterton, which was named in memory of my late grandmother, Brenda Joyce Crittenton-Lambert (I modified her maiden name, to make it fit since the city is inhabited by critters).

The Twins: (If you've read "Brotherhood Legacy", you'll know that their father was Francis Coleman, a skilled member of the White Moon Corps. Frankie tried to seal two spirits to his children, but was killed before he had the chance. Thus, Dr. Stanley Mason did what the father couldn't - he sealed the spirits onto the twins. As a result, they have powers unimaginable.)

Jacques Michael, or Jacqui, was born in a den alongside Maxie, his twin brother. He was sealed with the Red Fire Kitsune spirit. Thus, he can create and manipulate fire at will. And like his brother, he can teleport and create 'shadow clones'. Despite being born on the same day, Jacqui is several hours older than Maxie. He's more cautious, and very protective. However, he can get a bit hot-headed (get it?), and he's very sensitive. He blushes at particular things - including when he's around girls, and when he's aroused.

Maxwell Jordann, or Maxie, was sealed with the Blue Water Kitsune spirit. Thus, he can create and manipulate water at will. And like his brother, he, too, can teleport and create 'shadow clones'. Maxie is more or less the opposite of his brother. He's the 'fun guy', and can get easily bored and/or lazy when there's something that isn't fun. He's also considered an adrenaline junkie - he plays video games, and love winter sports, especially snowboarding. He's also very flirty. ;)

Magdalene Louise, or Mallie, is the Twins' baby sister. She was introduced during part 2 of "Brotherhood Legacy". She's very curious, and is always amazed at the outside world. Her favourite colour is purple.

Major characters:

Rodger Memphis Mouse was born in Canada - since he barely knew his father, he spent most of his life with his mother, who was a French Jew. When he was in his early teens, he started experiencing some changes with his body. He eventually went to losing his virginity to his crush, Elizabeth, who lost hers at the same time. He started taking this to his advantage by becoming a bit of a 'ladies-mouse'. Rodger is the ultimate 'party animal' - he is very carefree and can 'turn up' by drinking and smoking marijuana. He's been a good friend of the Twins since "Brotherhood Legacy".

Shirley Marie Squirrel was born in Malibu, California. She is a rare species of a flying squirrel, and is studied by a nature biologist. She was 'adopted' by his daughter, Melissa, seeing that Shirley was 'the sister she never had'. Shirley was very acrobatic - she became a cheerleader and was a three-time acrobatic champion. But all that popularity came crashing down when she was involved in a sex scandal with her competitor. The pressure became so unbearable that she had to move out of her beachside home, eventually settling in Critterton. Shirley is very perky and cute and always looks towards the bright side of things. She does have a bit of a crush on Jacqui...

Carmine Kathryn Michelle Reindeer was named for the deep red blanket she was wrapped in after she was born. She was considered the prettiest reindeer in her land. But not everything was sweet. One day, she was raped by a mafia deer. Left alone to die, she was put in the care of one Saint Nick, who gave her special powers, as well as a spare hat. He told her that the world is full of negative people, and that she can change that. She went to Critterton, where she saw some good people like her, and she chose to stay. She now runs a bar that she revitalized from bankruptcy.

Other characters:

Kennedy Marshall is a kangaroo who moved to Critterton from the Land Down Under (Australia). She's a very successful MMA fighter who won three championships. She then went into semi-retirement, settling into Critterton. She's very fierce, independent, and spicy. She can also be the one to sneak up by surprise.

Ritchie Quincy Muttley is a mutt who came to Critterton after his stint at the White Moon Corps. He is a very intelligent canine, who graduated at the top of his class. He is a technology expert, always building gadgets to make lives easier. He's also a huge fan of fantasy and science-fiction, including "The Elder Scrolls", "Star Trek", and the Tolkien novels. He is also a homosexual.

Pepe Antonio Manuel is a purebred chihuahua born and raised in Nogales, Chihuahua, Mexico. Growing up, he was very lonely. There was one friend who kept him company. A toucan by the name of Enrique Ramirez. They were the best of friends. But it all went apart when Pepe and his family moved out because his father landed a job in the US. The young pup then found his own calling as a mechanic in the White Moon Corps. Pepe, despite his short stature, has a big heart. He's always kind to others, and there's no one in the world that he hates. He speaks mainly Spanish, but he can speak English phrases.

Joseline, or Josie, is the new kid on the block. She's a very colourful vulpine. She loves expressing through art, especially graffiti. She's also got a very exuberant nature. And her flamboyant personality even annoys Rodger. Josie is also a lesbian.
