Light Auxillia, allways nice to have those guys in your forces, they are lovely for annoying the enemy in Rome: Total War

That's them exactly! Reconnaissance, as well as behind the lines harassing, and with cavalry speed nearly but with infantry style penetration of forests and broken terrain, having Lupines in your army is a big plus. some of the empire's enemies do not, so there is an addition of a fear component. some enemies are all lupines, and the strength and mass of human formations can brush them aside on the field, and if they melt, send in the lupine auxillia to pursue ans run down. it' works out.
