I'm working on a blanket for my bed.

This is the first completed square of my blanket. I'm going to make a bunch of these and sew them together to make a huge blanket.
I have a total of 4 squares done but I haven't stitched the fourth one to the rest.

Its about 8.5 inches long and about 10 inches wide. I'm planning on making about 7-8 more just for the width of my bed.

I designed the pattern for the color work and I plan on doing stripes like the ones on the square all the way across. I was inspired by ocean waves for the color work.

I'm doing mostly purling for this, but around the edges I'm garner stitching so the blanket doesn't curl so much, like what the top is doing.

About the total time for just this square: 3 hours
