Cobweb and her sister always had an amicable sort of relationship, despite their existence being... very unusual. Most hives only ever raise a single heir to adulthood. She and her sister, Sendal, had been twins and the old Queen had been content to let time determine which of the two would rule after her. Much to her surprise, the two had worked as a team and brought both great successes to the Hive and great trouble.

With the Queen's health failing, the twins removed themselves from Hive life for a time. Intense discussions between the Queen and her heirs followed. Even with all possible preparations made, the Queen's death still struck the Hive's network like a physical blow. Shortly thereafter, Queen Sendal departed the old Queen's chambers, with her sister at her side.

While Queen Sendal consolidates her power and grows used to having an entire Hive at her disposal, Cobweb has begun ambassadorial duties, hoping for increased understanding and cultural exchange. It is a work in progress. She still keeps in regular contact with Sendal, and is the only member of the Hive permitted to refer to her as Sister-Queen.
