Dave the Turbo Dragon by Scaglietti

Dave the Turbo Dragon

Scaglietti

----Silly little speech narrating the guy closest to Dave----

Alright folks, this here's Dave. He came to us because his employer, a private security agency, needed a stronger deterrent. Afterall, this planet ain't getting any safer. So we've outfitted Dave with our Stage 2 turbocharged flamethrower package. In order to fit the system inside Dave, we had to replace his ribcage with a CFRP exoskeleton. At the front of this structure are two large intercoolers that help cool the air generated by three 300mm parallel turbochargers. The turbos augment his existing lung capacity, boosting airflow by well over 400%. This increased pressure is far too high for his neck to cope with, so that was replaced. And what with all that extra airflow, flame temperatures are also much higher so his skull was swapped for a ceramic composite unit.

Oh yes I forgot about his wings. Due to Dave's particular physiology, we had to remove his wing muscles in order to relocate his lungs. Of course, in Dave's line of work he still needs to be able to fly, so we've added a set of removable scramjet powered wings that actually allow him to get around faster than before. Dave tells us his confidence at the workplace has improved due to his increased combat effectiveness, and that's great because that makes his employer happy, and that makes us here at Scaglietti Industries happy. Any questions?

----Info about this piece----

Well, I learned from my last work that zooming in to 700% does not make for a cohesive image, so on this one I limited myself to a max of 50% zoom, and it's saved me a heap of time. It also made the process of painting much more enjoyable, and I could just focus on nerding out over all the little design details.
