Taken from the Washington State Ferry during the terrible gout of fires the US was suffering. There weren't many in Washington itself, but the smoke distribution made our air quality worse than Beijing for a while.

Washington State has a ferry system in the Puget Sound; on a clear day, or even a heavily rainy one, the land across the water is still clearly visible. Just goes to show how much smoke was actually in the air.
