Just south of Miami, OK is a old section of original route 66 that was built as a single lane road complete with small curbs. The section of highway is still intact and is very rough to drive on there. Here I am attacking the painted Oklahoma US-66 shield as I am being my silly hawk self here. Behind me is a marker telling about this old section of highway that is still intact. As you can see in this photo some of the asphalt has broken away revealing the original concrete roadbed underneath.
