Working Girl: Stacy by SatsumaLord

Working Girl: Stacy

Main Backstory:
For those that are new (or those that forgot), Stacy first wandered into Bushville nearly seven months ago, on a cold and rainy day; with only a filthy and tattered blanket to keep her warm. As she passed the main window of Howard's Diner, Howard McConners (the chef/owner) and Doris King (the waitress) noticed her and immediately took pity on her. They both decided to bring her into the restaurant, so as to keep her warm and out of the cold rain. Or rather, Howard was the one who wanted to bring her out from the cold, Doris just kind-of went with it. But anyway, judging by her sheer exhaustion and dirt-encrusted clothing, it was pretty obvious that the young woman had been traveling for quite some time. To warm her up, Howard served her the "House Special", his famous pot roast meal; while Doris fetched her some towels from the kitchen. Stacy was rather confused by their hospitality, but ultimately chose not to question it; instead choosing to accept the dry towels and hot food.

Stacy devoured the dish presented to her with great gusto; and after finishing her meal, she began to dry herself with the towels provided to her by Doris. When this occurred, the two diner residents discovered Stacy's protrusion from underneath her ragged blanket. Such a belly was proof that Stacy was obviously pregnant; and by the looks of it, she was eight months in with twins. Upon discovering Stacy's fecund belly, they started asking her questions. Who are you? Where did you come from? Why are you wandering around like this if you're gonna have a baby soon? Such questions made Stacy nervous, but she answered them the best she could; without giving too much information away. She explained that her name was Stacy, Stacy Murphy. She further explained that she was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and that she was drifting because she wanted to escape the past. She wanted to make a whole new life for herself and her future children; a life that was free of pain and regret. But like all plans that involved fleeing from one's history, Stacy had nowhere to go; and not a single penny to her name.

After hearing her many woes, Howard (the bleeding heart that he was) decided to offer Stacy a home; specifically, the guest house behind his diner. Stacy was so moved by his kindness, she began to weep uncontrollably; occasionally forcing out a "Thank You" from underneath her incessant sobbing. And as she wept her gratitude, she also vowed to repay him in any way that she could. So later that week, Stacy became Howard's newest waitress; and she's been working at Howard's Diner ever since.

Other Information:
Despite being accepted almost immediately by Howard and Doris, many of the other Bushville residents were still rather cautious around her. They had no idea what she was really like after all. For all they knew, she could've been a thief, or a con-artist, or perhaps some other kind of delinquent. However, over time the townsfolk learned of her kindness, honesty, sincerity, and diligence to her work; ultimately leading many to regard Stacy as one of their own, instead of as just another outsider.

Over the next few months, not only did Stacy grow on the townsfolk, but her belly grew as well; easily doubling in size over the past months. This made many citizens wonder just how many babies she was carrying in that womb of hers, and they would never find out that number until Doctor Baxter Simmons (sometimes referred to as just "Doc" Simmons) performed an ultrasound on her. It was then that everyone realized just how fertile she truly was, for it was discovered that Stacy was pregnant with duodecaplets (i.e. 12 babies). Such a fact had shocked many of the townspeople, even Stacy. But this shock quickly subsided, and was instead replaced with a great sense of awe, wonder and curiosity. Stacy became a celebrity practically overnight, since nearly everyone wanted to meet "the most fertile waitress in all of Bushville". The various townsfolk even began giving her gifts; gifts like new clothes from the Bushville Sewing Club, freshly baked bread from Dan's Bakery, and even a television set from Jake's Electronics. Needless to say, Stacy was a bit overwhelmed by her sudden popularity; but she took it all in stride; always being thankful for every bit of kindness given to her by the residents of Bushville.

Now, as for the diner itself, Howard's is a two story building; with the first floor being the restaurant proper and the second floor essentially acting as Howard's home. The diner can seat up to 35 people, and most of the tables and booths can be easily moved around; the ability to move said tables became especially necessary as Stacy's pregnant belly continued to grow ever larger. The guest house behind the diner was built to accommodate two people, and was originally meant to act as a secondary home for Howard; incase he ever needed to fumigate the diner (and his above-stairs home) for pests.
