Jacob "Black Jack" Matthews is Trixie’s husband as well as the father of her children. He stands a half foot taller then his wife (making him 6 ft 2 in) and he possesses a fairly average build. He’s the first mate of the Pirate Vixen crew, which essentially makes him the second in command of the entire crew. Even though he has such a high rank, Jack doesn’t really do that much. In fact, he seems to spend most of his time sleeping, drinking with Dixie, or making outlandish bets with many of the crewman. He rarely takes himself seriously and there have been many instances where he has made quite the fool out of himself. However, even though Jack has some pretty serious short comings, he has more than made up for it in his loyalty to his friends, his courage and skill in combat, as well as his undying devotion to Trixie. He also seems to have the uncanny ability to say the right thing at just the right time. As for how he got his name, Jacob is an infamous gambler and the game he knows how to play best is Black Jack. Furthermore, Jacob didn’t really lose his eye; he just wears an eye patch because he thinks it makes him look “dashing”.

Angela Delaluna is the doctor of the Pirate Vixens and is easily the tallest member of the crew. Standing 7 ft 6 in, she dwarves the entire crew onboard the Pirate Vixen’s ship, the Lucky Fox. However, don’t let her sheer size fool you. She maybe the largest of the crew, but she’s also the sweetest and kindest of the whole crew. Perhaps the only thing greater then her compassion and good nature, is her medical expertise. Every patient to ever be put into her care has always made a full recovery, even those who have received nearly fatal injuries. She has also been able to develop cures to a few diseases that were once considered untreatable. Angela’s biggest flaw is her inability to fight. She absolutely despises violence, so much so that she actually lacks the ability to hurt someone else; even in self-defense. Due to this fact, Angela is never involved in any situation that may require violence, which is also the case for Trixie because of her pregnancy. So far, no member of the Pirate Vixen crew has really been injured, or at least not severely and because of this detail Angela spends most of her time looking after Trixie; making sure that both Trixie and her babies are healthy and safe. And on a side note, Angela has the Pirate Vixen seal imprinted on the back of her vest, in case anyone was wondering.
