A colour pencil drawing of one of my all-time favorite magical girls, Princess Tutu. I'm a little sad, since I drew this near the edge of the page so her foot got cut off, and I colour really heavy-handed when burnishing/blending colours, so the shades around her neck look a bit blotchy as that's where the paper started to come apart... Still, I'm pretty proud of this and really enjoy this style. In a way I was trying to reinterpret some of the most distinctive aspects of the anime's design and style with my own. And as always, it's always fun to draw dancers!

Since Ahiru and the series as a whole draws strong influence from Swan Lake, I tried to get a bit more of an Odette feel too.
