After I posted a 'remastered' Chip sprite a couple of weeks ago, I felt the itch to do a sprite of my favorite character from Rescue Rangers, Gadget Hackwrench.

On the same day I posted that pixel art, PixelJoint user Azuyre posted his own 'remastered' sprites of Scrooge McDuck, Darkwing Duck, and Negaduck. They put my sorry effort at 'remastering' a sprite to shame. I resolved to create a sprite that looked at least half as good as Azuyre’s when I got to work on the Gadget sprite.

I would’ve gotten this done sooner, but I’ve had a lot of problems with my sleep schedule and finding the desire to work on my pixel art. (I also needed to wait on PixelJoint’s forums for feedback on the WIP versions of this.) I gave it my best effort with the skills I have, and I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

STATS: About five hours, 15 colors (14 + transparency) taken from the Mega Drive palette, based on the work of DeviantArt user Nintendomaximus (which used a sprite from Chip ‘N’ Dale Rescue Rangers 2 for the NES as its base) and the style of Azuyre’s 'remastered' sprites as mentioned above.
