Melodia's world had been at its end for years, and everyone knew it. Everything was gone: most animals had long been killed off, the land was barren, and water was almost non-existent. They had to leave, but to where? The nearest planet was light years away, and while advanced, they were no where near to a stage where they could travel the stars. But there was a way. It hadn't been tested, let alone perfected, but it might have been possible to travel across dimensions to a safer place. If it worked, there would be enough power for a select few to enter with supplies and rebuild. If it worked. That's where Melodia and those like her came in. She wasn't part of the select few. She was taken one day from her hole in the slums. There was no promise of freedom after a job well done, just guns aimed at her, and loud voices shouting. Her group along with the soldiers commanding them would be the vanguard. If they survived the trip, the elites couldn't be expected to build their new world with their own hands. And if they didn't survive... well, then all was lost.

Note: You know, every time I finish a sketch, I can see so many things I need to work on~ While that is true, I can also now see how much I have been improving~ Yay! I got this one in on time~ ^^ I was trying to make her look thin, hungry, and tired, but I think I ended up with old and worn out, lol~ Oh well, the more faces I draw, the better I'll get at them~ So yeah, there's Melodia in a holding cell on her dying planet, waiting to become a guinea pig/slave for the new world~ I wasn't sure what to do for the hair, but I figured short and choppy would work, and in a world where everything is at a premium, I doubt poor slum girls are being handed bras at the shelter, so you learn to tie the girls down with what you got~
