These are little soul collectors~ they like to make bargains with people for their soul, depending on how many souls they've collected makes them more powerful. they could bend reality if they've collected enough souls for it~ but they can only use their powers once they've "bought a soul" they buy a soul by offering you a deal and you'd sign your name on the script of their tail. the tail itself grows after each name is added, (as do their wings~) so it never runs out of room for new names. its said a Tamanuu was a spirit that fell from the heavens and must collect 200 souls in order to regain entry into the heavens.
