Summer Luau

Sadalsuud-Staridae

Adopted this cutie-patootie from Fehroh - Summer Luau (#3)

Summer emigrated to Manehattan from Haywaii in her late teens, becoming a dance teacher first, and later a choreographer, as well as ended up doing half the choreography and music for "Greaser High" with the famed Manehatten Theatre Company's director, Royale Grandream.

She used to be a very behind-the-scenes kind of pony, often watching from the sidelines as her students took to the stage, but all that changed when Staridae's lead singer, Twinflame Star, approached her and asked her to star in one of their debut album's singles. She was the pony who waltzed into the hearts of many young colts and stallions in Staridae's song, "You Can't Come Back". In that video, she donned her usual tank top and flower in her hair, but wore an elegant pair of slimline jeans and sneakers, her mane and tail styled flowed beautifully with that look, setting many hearts a'flutter.

After that video aired on PTV, Summer couldn't go anywhere without recognition, and joined Staridae's signing label, Lady Liberty Records, as a choreographer and dance co-ordinator first, before being drawn into Staridae's free flowing alternative rock music style as a backing singer/intermission dancer. Through the band, she met Twinflame's family after a tour in Trottingham, and fell in easily with her baby sister, Rainbow Star. The three mares are the best of friends. She's also formed a sisterly bond with the band's second electric guitarist, Taffetta Frex (Laffy Taffy).

Her clothing is very attuned to Haywaii, her original home; she wears a white or vibrant red-pink tank top, a free-flowing grass skirt, a lei of beautiful flowers around her neck, left hoof and a fresh flower behind her ear daily. Her mane and tail seem to flow in brilliant blues and seafoam, reminiscent of Haywaii's crystal clear oceans. She's a very headstrong pony, but is a wonderfully gentle pony when it comes to her students.

Summer comes from a fairly large family who are stretched out all over Haywaii and its surrounding islands. Her parents are the ex-cuisine legend, Taro Haupia, and his beautiful dancing queen of the sand, Kahiko Mele. Her success abroad brings them great joy and pride. They have recieved many fan letters and gifts on Summer's behalf, and her father often stockpiles them and sends them off to her when he gets a chance to.

Her cutiemark is made up of a small secluded beach by the water in the late afternoon, with a coconut palm and a rich red/purplish cocktail drink.

Didn't get a chance to comment last night. Looks like it came right out of the eps of the show. The backstory really helps in filling in the details too ^^
