Sydney Zorion [WIP]

Sadalsuud-Staridae

Sydney Zorion identifies as both male and female (dual-gendered).

In regards to pronouns: they/them (preferred), he/him, she/herself.

They're unaware of their birth parents, but the large spot marking over their left eye and “docked” tail gives rise to suspect they’re the child of possibly fullblood canines. Sydney wouldn’t know very much about them, they were a ward of the state and spent most of their young life with less-than-stellar ‘parental guidance’ up until they were 21. They are currently in their early 30′s, and were renting a small apartment in a semi-decent surburban area up until recently.

Sydney worked at a local PetSmart, but the whole atmosphere of their workplace was killing their spirit on a daily basis (mainly due to their overbearing bosses). They later encountered their future business partner and companion, Stewart Houndstooth, after two very playful and rather mischievous kittens named Percival (Percy) and Montague (Monty) were handed into their store by a concerned customer after seemingly being abandoned in the rain. It was fortunate Monty was still wearing his collar (Percy had slipped his) and still had identification attached to it. Sydney alerted Stewart to his two precious pets at their store, to which they found themselves practically being adopted by the kittens in the time it took the canine to retrieve his beloved companions. Stewart took this as a good sign ('Companion pets are rarely ever wrong about good people') and took Sydney under his wing, helping them to leave PetSmart and introducing them to his modest lifestyle as a fashion and food critic.

They kept Stewart's many affairs as a fashion and food critic up-to-date and filed accordingly, as well as keeping Percy and Monty well-fed and looked after during his many absences. However, their curiousity and concern into what their new employee did for a living asides from being a critic almost led to an abrupt end when they were held for ransom by one of the men Stewart was attempting to make a lucrative deal with. Their first encounter in firing a Glock-19 in self-defense soon followed...as did an unfortunate hurling session afterwards. Stewart whisked Sydney away from the scene, transporting them to a safehouse in Neo-Miami under the care of his two friends, Chellios 'Fauxfur' Coyote and Velindra-Jay Hedgehog, whilst he went back to deal with the fallout. Chellios protested (via much ranting!) to the babysitting job, Velindra however saw potential in Sydney, coaxing them to accompany her on some scouting jobs when they'd had time to recover. After time in her company, Sydney began to make the connection between their job as Stewart's secretary and what they were really supposed to be doing. Though they felt inadequately prepared to be involved in this line of work, Sydney learned Velindra was an excellent teacher in what was to be expected of them. Sydney slowly began to warm to the idea of acting as another agent in their team, much to Chellios' chargrin (he cited he had no time to teach a kid how to safeguard explosives, let alone use them accordingly).

They were later introduced to Admiral William 'Billy' Westin, the man of whom Stewart, VJ and Chellios worked with, and were given their own assignment to plan the days of his agents in their various undercover activities. As Sydney had no qualms about dressing the part, Westin assigned them first to Chellios (to gain the trust of a weapon dealer's wife and later ensure her safety), then later to Velindra (acting as her adopted brother during a smuggling operation), then finally permanently to Stewart's side as his companion and confidant, as well as the other half to his act as a critic for food and fashion in Neo-Paris ("Column for the Connoisseur")

Sydney does not pursue romantic interests outside of their new life and home, finding all they need in Stewart's passionate attitude and fascination for the world. They adore VJ, see Admiral Westin as a protective uncle, and greatly respect Chellios.

These are normal, everyday attires for Sydney, in their favourite colours.

They normally don the upper left outfit for scouting purposes, and prefer a more regal/business wear attire (not shown) when accompanying Stewart, VJ and Chellios on jobs. They also have specific attires for certain roles they are assigned to.

Sydney Zorion belongs to Victoria S. Rodda, 2014 - 2015
